The browser is one more source in the same memory, next to your other connectors.

Your browsing history is not our dataset.

A local-first browser history: domains and time go to ALO on your computer. Tab titles only if you turn them on. Nothing else, and never to us.

Questions

Does ALO upload my browser history?

No. The extension sends small events to the ALO app on your own computer through native messaging. Nothing goes to ALO servers, and there is no ALO cloud copy of your browsing.

Does ALO record passwords?

Never. The extension doesn't read page content, form fields, passwords or keystrokes, and it takes no screenshots. It has no content scripts and no access to the pages themselves.

Does ALO work in incognito mode?

No. The extension is set to not run in private or incognito windows, and ALO ignores them even if a browser allows it.

Can I choose which sites ALO observes?

Yes. Mark any domain as always private from the popup or right-click menu, and ALO stops looking there. Private Zones you set in the ALO app apply to the browser too.
